Consistent performance

This was my third year renewing ScreenPal (Screencast-O-Matic before that). I always get the Solo Deluxe plan. The interface is familiar, and it just works for my short tutorials. I appreciate the reliability. The updates usually bring useful features without overcomplicating things. It's my go-to for quick video creation, and I've never had any major issues with my subscription or the software itself.

Feature-rich, slight learning curve

I signed up for the Solo Premier plan to create some training videos. Ordering was easy enough, just picked the plan and paid online. The software downloaded quickly. The screen recorder and webcam recorder worked seamlessly, and I was able to capture system audio without any trouble. The video editor has a lot of options – trimming, cropping, adding music from their library, even some drawing tools. I used the automated captions, and they were surprisingly accurate, saving me a ton of time. Hosting my videos on their platform was convenient, and I liked the option for password protection. It took a little while to get familiar with all the features, especially the interactive video tools, but their support articles were helpful. My main observation is that while powerful, it's not always super intuitive for a complete beginner, but it's manageable.

Worth the annual payment

I needed a screen recorder for online classes and compared a few options. ScreenPal's Solo Deluxe annual plan seemed like the best value after looking at the features included. I got the discount for paying annually, which was a good saving. The recording and basic editing features were easy to figure out. I haven't explored everything, like the stock library, but for what I paid, it feels like I made a smart choice. Didn't want to spend too much, so this fit the budget.

Good for screen recording

I purchased the Solo Premier plan primarily for the screen recorder and video editor. The tools worked well for my needs; it was straightforward to capture my screen and make basic edits. Delivery was instant since it's software. I wish the cloud storage was a bit more generous at this price point, but overall, it's a solid product for the money.
